Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) Fund Criteria
The DIAP fund was developed to assist departments, centers and institutes as they work to prioritize actions in six areas (“priority areas”) that further Brown’s mission: People, Academic Excellence, Curriculum, Community, Knowledge, and Accountability.
To be considered for DIAP funding, requests must meet the following criteria:
- Requested funds must contribute to at least one of the six priority areas.
- Requested funds must align with at least one of the Department, Center, or Institute’s stated DIAP goals
- Requested funds must be used during the academic year in which they were requested.
- Requests can be made by academic and administrative departments, centers, and institutes.
- A DIAP Report Form is required for all funded projects within two weeks of the event date. This should include a written narrative as well as any media (photos, video, audio, etc.) that describe the project and its impact on the Brown community.
- Prior recipients of DIAP funds are not eligible for consideration of additional funding until a DIAP Report Form is completed.
