The Advisory Council on Relations with Tougaloo College is the principal governing body for the Brown-Tougaloo Partnership. The Council considers long-term policy and planning, strategic direction and efficacy of implementation to steward and advance the relationship between Brown University and Tougaloo College. The Council is primarily made up of up of alumni from Brown, Tougaloo and the Brown-Tougaloo Partnership, who are appointed by the President of Brown University.
The Council also provides assistance to the Brown-Tougaloo Partnership Program.
The Advisory Council on Relations with Tougaloo College is led by the Vice President for Institutional Equity and Diversity. Advisory Council Members are appointed by the President for a term of three academic years, beginning July 1 and ending June 30. Terms may be renewed once at the invitation of the President.
